Spring Green Lodge and Conference Center with an Inspirational Display of
Art, Architecture and Antiquities to Inspire Young People
Spring Green Lodge and Conference Center is an exciting project that will bring the spirit of great American architecture to a great lodging experience, reflecting inspiration from the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis H. Sullivan and other great American architects.
The conferencing area of the hotel will accommodate up to 300. It will be a great place for business meetings,small conferences, parties, lectures, receptions, dinners, weddings, and other gatherings.
Fifty four suites will be included in the first phase of Spring Green Lodge.
The Hotel will also host a variety of unusual and interesting features:
- a library dedicated to Frank Lloyd Wright and other American icons of architecture to inspire young people
- a central theme of fireplaces and inviting lodging furnishings
- an exhibit area with reproductions of drawings and photographs of the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis H. Sullivan, Walter Burley Griffin and other architectural icons
- displays of ancient pre-Columbian art from SIUE's extensive collections
- rooms designed for maximum comfort, privacy, and office work
We plan to open the first phase in 2009.
