Art, Architecture and Antiquities to Inspire Young People

Spring Green Lodge and Conference Center is an exciting project that will bring the spirit of great American architecture to a great lodging experience, reflecting inspiration from the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis H. Sullivan and other great American architects.

The conferencing area of the hotel will accommodate up to 300. It will be a great place for business meetings,small conferences, parties, lectures, receptions, dinners, weddings, and other gatherings.

Fifty four suites will be included in the first phase of Spring Green Lodge.

The Hotel will also host a variety of unusual and interesting features:

• a library dedicated to Frank Lloyd Wright and other American icons of architecture to inspire young people
• a central theme of fireplaces and inviting lodging furnishings
• an exhibit area with reproductions of drawings and photographs of the works of Frank Lloyd Wright, Louis H. Sullivan, Walter Burley Griffin and other architectural icons
• displays of ancient pre-Columbian art from SIUE's extensive collections
• rooms designed for maximum comfort, privacy, and office work

About Spring Green Lodge

William L. Shaw - Chairman

40 years experience in real estate development and residential construction. Known for substantial design and construction features in Goshen Woods, Pinebrook Estates, and Stonebridge in Edwardsville. Designer and planner of Spring Green Lodge and Conference Center and Chairman of S.G.L. Inc., builder and owner of the hotel. State of Illinois Capitol Development Board: Art and Architecture Committee. From 1978 to present Design Built significant homes, apartment, subdivisions and small commercial properties. Total construction and design consulting work upwards of $100,000,000. 95% of this work was design build. Mr. Shaw is a master developer and design consultant to builders and developers. The largest client was Korte Construction of Highland, Illinois with a four year contract. Korte does approximately Two Hundred Million a year.

Todd E. Shaw - Vice President

Todd Shaw has over twenty years business experience that started in Austin, Texas in 1985 working for real estate investment companies and banks in the residential multi-family housing sector. He has a BBA in Economics & Finance and has done graduate work in statistical analysis. His business projects in Edwardsville include project leasing for Spring Green Lodge with Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, residential development administrations and construction management with Stonebridge Development Company. Todd also owns Shaw Enterprises a company that rehabilitates old homes in mid scale neighborhoods.

Cathy Luttrell - Vice President of Operations

Former Executive Vice President of the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce. Over 15 years experience in the hospitality industry as a General Manager of the Best Western Heritage Inn, Comfort Inn of Edwardsville along with managing several other locations for Midwest Lodging Associates. In 1990 Midwest Lodging Associates named Cathy Manager of the Year. In 1996 Cathy earned certification by the American Hotel & Motel Association as Certified Hotel Administrator. Successfully opened Comfort Inn in 1994 (An award winning property for the five years operated by Cathy Luttrell). Active in many civic and community organizations in the Edwardsville area.

Al Comello - Vice President of Sales and Marketing

30 years experience in sales, marketing, and public relations projects involving real estate developments. Former real estate editor for the St. Louis Globe Democrat and former owner of St. Louis Marketing Group, a full service advertising agency.

John Celuch, Inlandesign Inc. - Sales and Design Team

Based in Edwardsville, Illinois, Inlandesign provides communications strategies, corporate identity design and branding, advertising, graphic design, interior architecture and environments, as well as a range of related services to clients in the St. Louis, Missouri region and nationally.
